Bradcot Empress Awning

We have just purchased a second hand Bradcot Empress Awning, not quite sure how old it is but it is in great condition.

I see from the Bradcot web site that the Empress is not now listed in their range of awnings which makes me think it must be really old.

Does anyone know if there is a comparison with the Empress and any from the range listed.

Cheers for now.

Hi Mairi, The Empress was around in the early ninties, I bought the Duchess ( could not stretch to the Empress ) though still expensive as they used latest materials. You had steel polls as standard or optional fibre glass. My Duchess side panels are one piece, so attachess to awning rail & roof section, If i am right your Empress has a zip out panel. The Duchess is now 15 years old and the only problem was when the material ties from awning to rubber peg downs broke due to age 3 years a go.

Keep dry and depending on use reproof every 3 to 5 years.

Thank you Clive for info. I knew it was old but didn't realise it was that old. Even so, it is in fantastic nic. Was just curious to know where it came in the range. As it is our first big awning it will do us just fine for now. Much appreciated.
