Brakes binding on when reversing

Hi, my friend is having problems with her brakes binding on when she tries to reverse, her motor mover has packed in also so its pushing or nothing. she has a 1997 Ace Jubilee Herald. Is this a known problem and is it easy to sort out?

The brakes need adjusting, or it could be a problem with the shoes or reverse mechanism.
When was the van last serviced?

 

[Joann]

The van is due a service. Hopefully she can get hold of the chap she uses before half term.
