Breakdown cover for caravan Uk and abroad

I have just uncovered a bag of worms regarding uk and abroad breakdown cover.Green flag,Churchill,Tesco et do not cover caravans over 7 meters in overall length and 2.25 meters in width.this rules out 80% of the swift,Ace ,Stirling ect range of current caravans plus many others.The only company offering unrestricted length and width on caravans is the Caravan Club (at double the cost) which is strangely serviced by green flag who dont provide it themselves.This smacks of a monopoly to me.Check your policy details as i drove for ayear towing thinking I was covered.
 
This subject comes up often on various forums, and the message is check the small print,cheaper doesnt mean saving money when you need assistance only to find your not covered. Get a tailored made caravan policy from one of the clubs,C&CC RAC Arrival or CC Mayday for the UK and for the Continent you will not beat CC Red Pennant on cover and service.
