\\\\\Hi there. Can anyone tell me if these are still required in France. I seem to remember that there was a suggestion that although the were required in law, the mechanism to impose fines was not in being.

Breathalyzer kits in France

We were there last year and you needed them then , as well as your headlight deflectors , hi viz's , spare bulbs .
Just come back from Spain via Caen. Asked about breathalyser kits in E.Leclerc supermarket s and they said it's not necessary to have them. The ruling was rescinded in 2013. The ferry companies sell them as if they are a legal requirement but don't get sucked in!
