Brittany Ferries, change of policy .?

I have been told that Brittany Ferries must now offer refunds instead of vouchers to those who had ferries cancelled due to virus. It seems there may be EU law to this effect.
So far I have not found anything on the BF websiteto this effect.
Has anyone more information ?

It is EU law but the French President has recently reinforced it, although I believe he had given companies up to 18 months to comply. U.K. law derived from EU law requires 14 days.
