Broadlands Wroxham

Hi, I've just booked the CC site at Wroxham for August Bank Holiday. Has anyone been there? What do you think of it?

Thanks

Hi Julie, we go a couple of times a year, have just come back infact. Broadlands is a quiet site, level and the majority of pitches are hardstanding with about 18 on grass. The toilet block was brand new last year and kept immaculate. There is a play area for the kids with new equipment and a boules pitch. 200yds from the site is the river and shop (where Eastenders was filmed some years back)and a restuarant, and 200yds in the opposite direction is a pub. A nice circular walk is into Ludham village with a stop at the King's arms pub (good food). We should also be there August bank holiday as well. Hope you enjoy it, anything else about the site just ask.

We went there a couple of years ago,it is a nice site but best on the hardstanding pitches. It has in the past come into criticism for the size of compartments in the showers etc but this may have been addressed now.I am not exactly the smallest person on the planet and I had no problem. The 'restaurant' is a little on the small side and the pub not the best but overall a lovely spot and one we will return to.

Thanks very much for your replies Julian and The Plotter. Its sounds like just the thing we are looking for. I'm really looking forward to it. I love the Norfolk Broads.

Agree with the other comments but suggest that you are careful when selecting your pitch, tall hedges mean that some pitches do not get afternoon sunshine (If we get any sunshine at all !!)
