I've just come back from a lovely sunny weekend however the caravan did not behave very well, It started while setting up the water did not seem to run through very fast? system was bled after about 25 mins, the cold working fine but the hot starts fine but quickly slows to a trickle, after taking the system apart could not find a blockage or kink in the pipework. so I put it all back together, now the electric started to play up, I was running on 12v the tv,a light and the electric heating with the fan running, the tv went blank! so I switched it to electric and thought no more of it but in the morning I found no juice at all in the battery, now its not a old battery and seemed to be charged the day before, why would it not charge overnight? any ideas to my caravan defects would be very much appreciated

My suspicions would be a short circuit in the pump.If you have a meter, or know someone with one, you could soon check it out.

Hi. If the van has been parked up over winter there is a chance of a poor current through a block conector through corrosion, mine did this and the fault was under one of the bed boxes where the fuse box was, it had a poor connection and was only letting a very small current through, so trying to charge the battery was not happening, After cleaning all connections everything was back to normal. :)

thanks for the pointers, looks like the water problem is due limescale and drop in voltage, going to try kemdirects tank and pipe cleaner to give it a new lease of life, I think the charger has given up, so would it case turning off the original and pluging in a replacement on or do i need to wire it into the electrics?

I think the control box and charger come as one complete unit. In any case, it's not a plug in piece of equipment, so unless you are electrical minded, you would be well advised to get someone who is capable of doing the work to do it for you.

Hi Karl

If you find you have no dealer near you come back to me and we can supply you with the Kemdirect.

We do despatch in items of three because cost is the same as with one item. Depends where you live....any where near Lincolnshire? you can collect also.
