Hi

I am interested to know if any one has experienced after sales issues, good or bad, since the management buy out of this company.

I would be interested to hear their views........

Hi Dawn.

I was a Brownhills customer about six years ago.. Bought two new MH's from the group (one from Hymer UK, and one from Brownhills Newark)

At that time they took customer service quite seriously - or perhaps it would be more accurate to say that, although they turned out vehicles with faults, they did their best to rectify them when customers started moaning. Although they *should* have been right first time, second time usually did the trick ;)

Then, they were certainly more sensitive to bad publicity than they seem to be now - perhaps they've become inured to it? ;)

Things do seem to have gone badly wrong, if the website complaints are genuine (and I'm sure they are)

I went back to Brownhills a couple of months ago. We were passing, and I wanted something from their accessory shop. It was my first visit there since 2002 - and, my!, how things had changed.

Then, it was quite difficult to get hold of a salesman. The place was always heaving with buyers & lookers, and the sales staff were always busy.

Not so this summer! - we called on a July Saturday and the place was virtually deserted. The sales staff were all gathered outside drinking coffee, and customers were nowhere to be seen.

That's only to be expected - these are hard times (and getting harder) and huge-ticket items like MH's are the first thing to be crossed off the shopping list.

Still - it was a bit eerie to see it so quiet though.
