BT Broadband

Just in case any one on here is thinking of changing from Bt to another supplier, be warned if you have paid line rental up front the robbers won't pay any unused amount back.
i have still got a deal for half the price so i will bite the bullet.

I was with BT Broadband once but now the less I have to do with BT the better. They are the only utility that is capable of making me angry, especially with their patronising attitude and their communications like :-

"Good news DrZhivago! We have slashed the price of calls to Timbuctu! By the way, to maintain our standard of service your line rental has shot up again."

As well as that, I am not the slightest bit interested in any of the sports they spend millions sponsoring.

There is a trend with ISPs to discontinue serving emails and providing web hosting space (except to enterprise customers) because we amateurs are supposed to use web-mail and Facebook for such things these days, so look out for that. I was happy with Demon for many years but they have just stopped my email service after sending me (as I have since found out from their Indian call centre) notice to a work email address I left years ago - incapable of sending an email to one of their own customers!

I am changing to Uno; I keep clear of any of the big ISPs.
