Bunree TV or Satellite reception

Off to Bunree this 'summer' and would like to know what the TV reception is like. We have a Status ariel and sat dish too. So if anyone could shed some light on reception on that site it would be useful, as given the weather I don't have enough payload to take all of the books that might be required and so EURO 2012 might be required for the odd damp day.

From the CC bunree site leaflet .........
Television reception is variable, best with aerial vertical. Only digital
reception is available. The EHU bollards do not have a TV socket.
Satellite reception poor.

From looking at this you would need to be over by the loch for a chance of a decent satellite signal....?

Clive,
Been there many times and not had a problem with the 66cm dish using a sky box. However you do need to have one of the shoreline pitches to avoid the trees and hills. When they say sat is poor they refer to the whole site which is true. There are are parts which are ok .

Anyway in such a pretty part of the world what do you want TV for

Across the road from the site is a lovely restaurant, eating house, The Four Seasons. Go there and enjoy, then realise you do not need TV anyway.

Thanks guys for the info. So it's a choice of TV or no awning to keep wet dogs in eh? Guess me and the dogs will be spending some time in the local hostelry whilst OH has choice of view or tv. Cheers.

With the jetstream way south of where it should be, the north of Scotland have had much better weather than we have in the south. Bunree gets fantastic sunsets and we were lucky enough to get a lochside pitch when we last went, but many pitches further in still have good views. A great site.
