Butlins at Minehead

As anybody been to Minehead and if so how did you rate it ? Me, wife and kids are off there in August......but its not to late to cancel......!

It sounds expensive but plenty to do for kids, which as we all know is very important.

Hi Alan,

It's 10 years since we were there but I'd never go back. The caravan park was a dump, the portable toilets stank and everything the kids wanted to go on cost money, even the lockers for theswimming pool we 20p, every time! If you get there let's hope things have changed in the last 10 years

The C.C. site at Minehead is up to the usual standards. Why not use that and go into Butlins on a day ticket?

I believe that the caravan site is at the far end of the park and if it is raining it is a hell of a walk back from the entertainment complex especially with young children.

The Butlins caravan site is closed I believe.

The Butlins experience is worth trying if you have a family - even if it is only once.

Food and drink is expensive but entertainment, rides and swimming pool are pretty good.

Try a pub on the main street of Minehead called "the hairy dog" (from memory) - really good play area for the kids out the back.

We are off here for a weekend in June. It is costing us for 2 adults a 16 and a 1 year old
