Butyl Mastic remover

Can anyone recommend anything that will remove the Butyl Mastic from the rubber seal around a window on my Sterling caravan?
I assume that it is Butyl Mastic, it's white, sticky with the consistency of soft Blu-Tac.

It is not butyl mastic, that is a setting bonding mastic.

White spirit will probably be best, having trimmed any surplus off with a plastic scraper.

Nick, it is a non setting bedding mastic made by Bostik, but I cannot remember the actual type, it is in one of my reference books which I will look up later.
