Hi all,

Im a Norwegian living in UK. Used EU made caravans with the door on the right hand side for sale here in UK is cheaper than in Norway.Im thinking to buy a caravan, and try to sell it in Norway, to se if it is possible to get a profit.

Any suggestions out there what Caravan make to look for?

(Floor heat is popular in Scandinavia)

Does anybody know where it would be possible to buy favourable priced right hand door Caravans which is new from the fabric/have not been on UK number-plates? This for not paying UK VAT. (They can be a few years old, but new from fabric)

Thanks!

I would expect to achieve an even better deal by purchasing the type of caravans that you are looking for on the Continent rather than in the UK. Besides, the selection would certainly be a lot bigger.

Lutz comments are true plus UK vans usually have 3 pin electric sockets and these would need changed for Norway.

It is not meant to sound cheeky but to get a caravan suited for Scandinavian climates may mean that Scandinavia is the best place to look.

Hello,

I lived in Norway for awhile and when i was looking at motorbikes with a view to import a vastly cheaper uk bike i got one hell of a shock. The local Norwegians put me straight, they informed me about the import taxes that would be levied on the transaction. Consquently it was not worth the bother.

Maybe a caravan is the same?
