C& CC advertising

Hi Maureen

I feel the same as you about this issue. Why does PC allow free advertising on this Forum. I for one have just cancelled my membership and find it very annoying seeing this popping up on EVERY message board between replies! It really should not be allowed.

I have already posted a complaint but I doubt that anything will be done about it.

Come om people, you must realise that this is most likely some kind of fault or error.

Give them chance to sort it before going off on one.
 
its an adventure..Join the UK"s least favourite insurance company *** and try and get paid out when you have a claim.

As the Mods are not full time it will depend on when they first notice it, has anyone e-mailed PCV directly to alert them?
 
I have just checked the admin tool and it is not a mod on the message. That means it is an entry in the presentation layer. ie, probably coded in

We need to seek legal advice as to them placing an advert that looks as if it is a recommendation from me in my own post.

This I beleive is mis representation and as such opens them up to major loses!

Get real folks. Irritating though the advert may be,no doubt the CC&C are paying , unlike us who get to use the forum for nothing.

Sorry, But I do "pay" to use this forum. I give up my own time to moderate it.

I have just sent an email to PC Mag on this problem. If everyone does the same then it might get sorted out quickly.
