C5 TOW BAR WIRING

i have a c5 estate 2002. How do you wire twin sockets to car?

I've been to try and get it fitted to day and the guy said that I need a loom for Citroen at the cost of £85 is there any way of getting around this, advice needed asap as going to cornwall on friday...Please Help.

Dave, this may be a bit late but if its not correctly wired it can blow the ecu and thats costly. The power for the fridge etc may be best wired direct via a fuse to the cars battery. Using the Citroen loom though will ensure the correct fitting and should avoid problems with the ECU. I didn,t have the S socket fitted on my previous car, a C5 Estate because some one who had, had loads of problems until it was wired direct to the battery. You will have to ask the fitters about that one. I don't take much in the way of food etc and usually buy it when we get to where we are going, so don't need the connection for the fridge. It gets cold enough from the 240v hook up by the time we have put the awning up and gone shopping. Also saves a bit on weight when towing.
