Cadac barbecues

Is it possible to remove the centre stem from the Cadac barbecue for easier storage and transport? I know I slotted it in when new, but have mislaid manual and cannot seem to remove it. Any help appreciated.

Hi you dont say which Cadac you have?
Do you have the type that has the blue tube that goes through the tripod legs?

It's the Eazi Chef with the grey tripod legs and the metal centre stem that goes to the burner.

We have an Easi Chef and the centre stem has stuck on the odd occasion. It is just a push fit and I have found a gentle tap with a rubber mallet on the underside of the bowl, while holding the stem, has separated the two. If this does not work you could try a little WD40 around the joint before trying another gentle tap.

Cheers. I'll give that a go. Just wanted to check that it was actually removable before the brute force route was attempted.
