Wonder if you can help...all of a sudden the cadac flame has become horrible and yellow and very sooty. !!!

After the usual clean and look over i couldnt find a problem..i tried a different bottle all to no avail...untill i stripped it down to pack away...i looked down the silver spindle (thing,,with jet on one end :) ) expecting to see straight through the steel tube...i was suprised to find it blocked with some sort of black plasticy looking "thing" ( sorry for my very technical explanation :) )

This thing seams to have a hole in it that looks like its been burnt in....questions...what is it ? i guess it should be there ? how do i replace it ?

etc etc all answers very gratefully recieved....

We had a Cadac Global Grill and the silver pipe should be clear - between the jet and the open hole that pokes into the Cadac burner.

Try cleaning the pipe - you can remove the jet body - the screw on the side simply releases it.

Paul theire is a black rubber seal that seals the jet assembly in to the steel outer tube, if this is what you have removed then it should be replaced as soon as possible. my cadac jet has a tendency to block with small deposits which i think are coming from the wall of the gas tube, i have to regularely remove the jet to clean it but its only a 5 minuite job and the cadac more than makes up for this slight inconveniance.

Hi People

Just had a look at a new cadac unit...and there SHOULD be a black plastic seal inside the silver pipe....no idea what it does, but it must be there....

if yours doesnt have one i suggest you make a phone call :)

what does this black rubber seal do ?

the jet is fixed to the base of the tripod and the silver tube just push fits into the top....so the jet is firmly secured,....have used the bbq without this black seal so am wondering does it need to be there ?
