We have the cadac carri chef II and saw a chap over the weekend with a splendid looking paella pan embossed with the cadac brand. I had a chat and he reckoned that the lid fitted on to the top of the pan BUT when i looked on a well known on-line retailer the same question was asked and the answer came back as a no it didn't. Confused. does anyone have the 47cm pan and does the CCII lid fit onto it?

I checked mine over the weekend and it fits perfectly, although when we make paella we leave the lid off.

Ours came with the chef pan - bit flatter than the paella pan and we use that for most things.
I bought a paella style pan from home bargains (and it was a bargain at £3.99) which does the job and as its a bit smaller we can use it on the hob inside if the weather is not good enough for Cadacing.

We have the chefs pan version and thus far this has covered our needs and will continue to be used for breakfasts and son on but we do camp offline quite a lot with extended groups of family and friends and the deeper sides will be ideal for knocking up a curry or some stir fried vegetables as well as paella; something I have yet to convince my 7 year old is something that she would like for her tea. I wasn’t going to bother until I saw one at the washing up last time out… the mind starts planning the possibilities for meals with one and it will easily fit on the wok burner of my stove as well. It’s a foody gadget and I need one… for reasons.

Hi SS, yes my lid fits the pealla pan, but mustly use it for spatckcock chicken. Hope you are enjoying your Sante Fe. Ours had a tough time over the Milleau Viaduct at 1000 meter at 35c. But we got there. Home tomorrow.

Spatrchcock is something that I had in mind for next summer.

The Sante fe is great as a car as well as a tug, I must say I am very pleased with it thus far. It is quite a bit lighter than the terrano so I suppose I can feel the van on the back a bit more especially when being overtaken on the motorway by something big but it is more powerful and doesn't struggle so much going up hills. the boot is actually a bit bigger I think and not having a spare tyre on the rear door makes hitching up a lot easier.
