Cahors/Limoges and Saumer/Angers!

Hi - I'm after a site near the A20 between Cahors and limoges, with a pool for an overnight stop. I'm then trying to find a biggish site, within walking distance of Saumer or Angers. Any ideas?...

Domaine de la Faurie, just off junction 56 of the A20 is a lovely site, with a pool. The site is at the top of a hill, with great views, and it's full of flowers, shrubs and fruit trees, all named. The site buildings are those of an old farm, and it's just delightful.

My old Michelin Atlas shows a tent symbol for campsites which are referred to in the Michelin Camping Guide, which is why I keep the Atlas, and there are sites just off the A20 at Payrac, Souillac, Donzenac, Uzerche, Masseret, and Pierre-Buffiere, if that helps at all.

Hi. We are on the site that Val A suggests and I agree with her comments. Pity as well as helping everyone out with routes that she cannot organise the weather.

Andrew

Camping Lac du Maine at Angers should fit your bill. To the southwest of the town on the river Maine. Good big pitches - deep but sometimes not very wide. Well run, English spoken, shopping just to the north, take Camping cheques except high season.
