calais to vendee.. which way ..??

hi folks..

just wanted to ask another probably dumb question.. which way is the best to travel to the vendee.. no doubt some of the people on here have travelled it and will know the best way..i have put it into viamichelin and autoroute and got different ways, i ahve a load of replies to another question i put in the forum ( all alone in france ) so i know some one will come up with the goods.. i just wanted to make sure i wasnt going the daftest way..

I suppose it depends entirely where you are going in this part of France.

we are goin to a park called le bois masson in vendee.. nearest town is st jean de monts.( i think ).. 1 route seems to take me up along the northern way the other seems to go through paris or at least near to paris.. not much in it time wise or mileage just wondered if there was much difference in routes..

ps is the sprot you are from sprotborough, near conisbro..

i came back from Saumur on the western edge of the Vendee last september via Le Mans and Rouen to Dunkirk. It was a very easy and pleasant drive and took about 7 hours, I think.

We are going to Ya Yole near to St Jean de Monts, travelling Dover to Calais on Sunday 31st.

Both Tom Tom and the Shogun build in sat nav are telling me to travel along the northern route.
