Calorlite Lightweight Cylinders

Hi

Can someone explain why 6kgs of Propane costs Approx £4.00 more in a Calorlite cylinder instead of a standard cylinder? Also I've been told I can only exchange a normal cylinder for a calorlite at a Calor Depot. Is this true?

The economic principle of Supply and Demand controls pricing for everything.

Calor Depots and Distributors may have their prices controlled by Calor but Calor Retailers can charge whatever they want, higher or lower.

I was told by Calor that their centers might not have light cylinders until early next year, they are stocking the caravan dealers first.J.Lo

thanks for that ..I think I'll wait until they become widely available as Roger L says supply and demand. Calor will probably change over at some stage to lightweights.
