Those were my first thoughts and also that everyone is waiting for the budget before deciding on anything.

That’s a nice site, although when we last visited it was a touring site for caravans, motorhomes and campers. Have they now diversified into lodges or something?

I had a text message from them yesterday about this, we're booked to go to Cirencester October half term and while it's tempting to cancel/rebook knowing my luck someone else will jump in between and I'll lose the booking!

We're off to Cirencester in a couple of weeks and as I've changed the car I went into our CAMHC booking online to change the car registration number. On amending the details the final stay price came up with one day's price deducted (cue panic thinking I'd deleted a day!) but dates/number of nights were the same. Thinking the discount had been added to an amended stay I felt quite smug BUT on saving the amendments the booking still showed the original price so it looks like there's no way to add the discount to an already made booking.

Many are cancelling their booking and then rebooking straight away. Apparently the discount then shows up?

I heard that as well but I'm not brave enough to do that in case someone manages to sneak in between my cancellation and me reapplying !

Simple to check availability first if you are that worried. Unlikely to be booked full for the time that you will be on site. (y):D

As we had made a booking before the offer came in we did consider cancelling and rebooking, but then decided to just book an extra trip away, although I was surprised to find our preferred sites were all booked on the Saturday night, this is in November, eventually we found one to book,as it is first night free has anybody booked just one night?

Is this a big panic booking because a majority of CAMC sites close down and the Leamings don't go anywhere else. Do people put their caravans into storage and don't go out until April. Winter touring can be great.

We fall into that category. We used to do winter touring and spent Christmas away in the caravan however age and arthritis have put a stop to that activity.
