caming gas

Hi all, i have just ordered a Campingaz Chef 5800 from Outdoor world.com and i did not realise at the time the cost of gas. the butane/propane 904 and 907 can cost as much as £50 odd.

Can anyone advise me if i can find a handy little calor bottle that would be ok for this cooker to run on. I have a full size calor fire in my home and the refil for that is only £15 so why would a portable cookers gas bottle cost as much as £50.

Surely there must be a cheaper way of doing things.

With Camping Gaz, the first charge includes the cost of the cylinder, as well as the gas, similar to Calor's initial rental charge - subsequent refills should be much cheaper.

The Campingaz Chef 5800 is fed by a hose and supplied with a Gaz specific regulator.

Therefore you can simply us your own regulator and cylinder and connect this via a hose to the Campingaz Chef 5800.

I don't know the Gaz regulators operating pressure either 27 or 30mBar but that will be marked on it, so ideally you need the same regulated pressure. [repeat "ideally" as they are so close together]
