Camp Municipal Du Bord De L Aisne

Heading back to the UK at the end of June, considering the above for a couple of days.

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Many thanks in advance.

Nice, well-kept, level site. Toilet block rather basic but clean. Easy walk into town, where there is a supermarket and a few bars etc. Close enough to Reims for a day out if you fancy it. We would certainly use it again.

Hi Wanderer

We have stayed on this site on several occasions over a number of years. I would recommend it highly. It is a good quality 'camping municipal', very conveniently close to the A26 (but far enough away to be quiet). If you wish to eat out, there is an excellent restaurant in the nearby village of Neufchatel-sur-Aisne. If you are able to stay more than one night, there is a brilliant visit to the WW1 site on the Chemin des Dames. This gives` a tour through the chalk caves under the ridge, which were fought over during the war.

However, beware of the speed ramps at the entrance to the site -they are particularly 'effective'.

Bonnes vacances

Merci Paul,

Merci pour l'information, we shall be having a couple of days before the return to Blighty and your info confirms that this is the site for us.

Shall seek out the restaurant for a final little bit of galic charm.

Many thanks.
