Camp Site Le Grand Lierne

This campsite is near to Chabeuil in the Drome region.

Has anyone stayed here and what did you find it like?

Ant tips for exploring the local area, places to see etc: and best shopping re markets.

Yes, we've stayed there too! Twice in fact, once in the 1980's for a week and again about three years ago but just an overnight stop that time. It's a rural site, near to Chabeuil, which I think has a market - or at least it did in the 80's. The site's quite shady - we found our last pitch to be too shady, but we weren't staying long. The pitches are mostly within the young oak woodland - so can be quite 'irregular'. Sanitary facilities were fine, pools were good, restaurant was just OK - slow service, so that colours your opinion. There's lots going on - sportswise, on site. The hills to the east of the site are lovely, great twisting roads, and some amazing views but I'm sorry that I can't remember any particular place names.
