Camping Bled, Slovenia

I am considering a week here in August. Anyone been?

What weather should I expect? Do I need a motorway 'vignette'ish type pass?

I hope its cheaper than France and Spain

We have been at Bled, it is a very good site, nicely situated on the lake shore. The restaraunt is excellent. We were there in late may/june so cant help with the August weather, we had temps of 25-28C, followed by thunder (we are always followed by thunder)!. There were no Motorway vignettes when we were there (2 yrs ago) but they are starting very soon, I think. I would not hesitate to go back!

Yes it is a nice site with an excellent restaurant on the right on the way to Bled from the site.

You have to buy a vignette at the border or at a fuel stop before you get there if you go on the motorway it costs _35 for the 6 months minimum . You will also need one for Austria if you use their m/ways but that is cheaper at _7.70 ( I think )for 10 days and you also have to pay for tunnels on the m/way,which is a rip off. Look at www.theaa.com lots of details there.

I think Bled is not too far from Austria border so I will probably not use the M'way in Slovenia.
