Hi 1st time to Italy, anyone been there, Any comments? anything you must see?

I am going in July through the Gothard pass

I have a Shogun so I dont think I will have a problem towing

Calais - Holving - Lucerne - Fontanelle over three days

Do try to go to the Opera at Verona and take a trip on the boats/ferries up to the top of the lake at Riva. For a good and not expensive meal in Riva.... follow the boat men......we had a lovely meal last year. Also Sirmione nice but busy.....and loads of icecreams....

Nothing wrong with your route, but I prefer to go through Germany...

We are going to Lake Garda in June and the site on the top of the list is Fontanelle. Any tips/advice on the camp site and /or the area would be appreciated.

Also it would be interesting to find out what route you took from the French coast.We intend going via Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany and Austria.
