Camping in very cold temps.Advice needed.

Hi We are going caravanning in the French Alps for Christmas where temps last year were as low as -14. We are taking our 2 year old and just wanted advice on everything really.Do you leave electric heaters on all night?Do you use gas heaters all night?etc..etc..etc?

Thanks for any info.

Depends on your heating system, we leave ours on at 1kw when staying at Braemar. Just use the 2kw and Gas to give it a boost when we return after a day out walking

You'll need some form of inboard water tank too, ideally inside the van, not the front locker.

Also be aware that leisure batteries tend to be less efficient at very low temperatures which may make the mover - if fitted - less efficient too. Happen to me once at Navajas near Valencia early January - this plus some frozen rime on the tyres made getting off the pitch quite difficult.
