Camping La Bien Assise Directions!

Hi
We are going to the above site next week and would appreciate any advice as to the best route to take to get there. We are getting the ferry to Caliais and the site is only a short drive away but I have read that it is advisable to avoid the village near the site whilst towing. So any directions and advice would be great.
Many Thanks!

Pretty easy - we always follow Caravan Club directions.

Come out of the docks and follow signs for the A16 to Bolougne (south). Once on A16 you will go past the tunnel which you will see on your left and you will also pass the large shopping complex which will also be on your left (Cite Europe). You take the exit to TGV / Frethun Gare. At top of slip road turn left to cross A16. Turn left at next roundabout and follow signs to Guines. Keep going and you will eventually come to an island on the edge of Guines - the entrance to the site is directly off the island. Hope you have some good weather - we are off in 8 weeks.

As Lesley P I always head for Hames Boucres we are there Thursday ,beautiful site just stopping 2 nights then off home going back for a week in august

We are going there mid August for the 4th. time. We travel Grantham to Canterbury C&CC Site - Dover to Calais (arrive 2pm) drive 52 miles to Montreuil sur Mer or 40 to Condette. Then do 2 more stops before La Tranche. 170 mile before La Tranche we stop at La Fleche. Each stop over is of 2 or 3 night depending. This year we intend stopping at Montreuil sur mer, Le Bec-Hellouin,La Fleche, La Tracnche, going down and at Condette instead of Montrueil sur mer goin up. Hope this helps.

As everybody has said the directions to the site are very straight forward but don't worry if you get lost or take a wrong turning as we did this year and went through the village. our van is a twin axle 26 feet and encountered no problems even throught the small village
