Camping LoMonte - Alicante

Thinking of going down for a few weeks in November.

We were looking into going there as the reviews seem to be generally good, but decided against Lo Monte because it doesn't have any direct beach access, which is something that we are looking for. However, we intend to stay in the general area in November, too.

Nothing definite but Camping Palm Mar nearby in Guardama del Segura is one of the campsites on our shortlist. However, we have now decided to simply head in the general direction and work our way through our list of possible campsites between Valencia and Almeria and stay at the whichever takes our fancy.

I just checked Palm Mar and it says only 3amp electric !

Has anyone got any recommendations for an overnight stop between the French border and Barcelona (via AP7)?

We decided to give Lo Monte a miss when we got there, but to continue a bit further south. Our first port of call was Playa de Mazarron, but we were bitterly disappointed with that. It had about the same degree of charm as a motorway service area. Parts of the campsite smelt of dog poo and it currently only has two toilet blocks for over 550 pitches. The third one is currently undergoing refurbishment. Besides, it was almost full. The only pitches left were in less desirable locations. We therefore drove on to Aguilas where we found a lovely little campsite (Bellavista). We think we'll be staying here for quite some time.
