campsite search engines

What makes you think that?
I use ukcampsite.co.uk mostly. Apart from it's dated look and feel there is nothing about it to make me say derogatory things about the developers.

I use UK Campsite and ScottishCamping - both have been around a very long time so may seem clunky to the modern generation of internet users.

I also use Google AI but that is totally dependent on how you ask the question - be too general and you'll get a vague answer but is quite good if you define a location, a radius around it and the type of site you're looking for.

Also just using Google maps, and search for Caravan sites, Cl's or CS sites, always comes up with a good amount.

Could you please help me find a campsite pitch using your favourite search engines?

Here are my requirements:

  • Location: Maribor, Slovenia
  • Pitch: hardstanding, flat, with electric hook-up (EHU)
  • Facilities: sauna, washing machine
  • Nearby: ski lifts
  • On-site: pub

This might be worth considering. No pub but cafe. Easy walking to town with spa facilities, cafes, eateries etc. Ski lifts nearby. Hard standings and electric and water, laundry.

U.K. Campsite has served me well for many years. In fact I own up to being a recipient of a very generous Amazon voucher raffled for all those who left a review of a campsite ( caravans too!).
I can easily navigate the site.Drill down using chosen criteria and within reason trust mostboc the reviews posted.

Their search criteria reduces my own personal sifting time.. A real bonus. For me at my dog IT level I don’t find it clunky moreso I find it very user friendly and easily navigated..
Not sure what “modern surfers” are looking for but my fingers and brain seem to handle it well🤪🤪
 
ChatGPT would come up with some possibilities if the OP input the requirements. People are now using ChatGPT to arrange holidays and itineraries including accommodation and travel options. One travel journalist has reported that the output was probably better than he could develop and took a very short time to produce. I’ve used up my freebie allowance which doesn’t give me access to such questions.

Are you in a motorhome or a caravan, UKcampsites shows the camping center Kekec, but if you use Google maps, center on Maribor, and search caravan sites 3 different one appear.

Ukcampsites do most of Europe, it's basic which is fine by me.
