Campsites in Loire or Brittany

We are planning next years holiday. We want to stay for approx 1 week. We want to travel approx 1 day from calais so Brittany or Loire region would be ideal. Anyone recommend any good sites.

Try Camp duLetty at Benodet. Approx i.5 hours drive from Roscoff. Why not sail Plymouth to Roscoff and make the ferry crossing part of your holiday. Very enjoyable cruise across the channel. Make enquiries with Select Sites of Abergaveny - you will find them very reasonable and helpful. have a great time.

Chantepie at Saumur is a delightful site.

Bois de bardelet at Gien is also excellent. both are a comfortable days drive from calais. Chateau de Chanteloup near Le mans is another option

hope this helps

Hi Vicky we did dover-calais this year and stayed in concarneau in brittany, the journey was horrendous although we stopped over night at an aire the drive took us 12 hrs leaving the site on the sat to make the ferry, we are going again next year, plymouth -roscoff sailing and we've booked already with select-sites (www.selcet-sites.co.uk) they were brilliant and as were going for 3wks next year and the extra sailing the price wasn't that much more. They are really helpful and have loads of advice give them a call on 01873 859876 good luck but definatley don't recommend the dover-calais especially if you have kids tracy
