Campsites near Rome

We are thinking of returning to Italy this year and hopefully stopping somewhere not too far from Rome. Preferably we would like a site on the coast so we have the best of both worlds ( pool & sea!). Does anyone know of anywhere that would be suitable.

We went to Cavallino last year and stayed at Union Lido and I'm finding thats a pretty hard act to follow!!

Any help would be gratefully received

To do Rome, some years ago, we stopped at Camping Porticcolo on Lake Bracciano and it was very good. Sorry it is not by the sea but is right on the Lake. The site owners will run you to train station and it is only about 3 stops to the Vatican.

In 2007 we stayed at Camping Roma Sporting Flash. Like the previous post this site is on Lake Bracciano and it is possible to swim in the lake.

We stayed on Camping Happy, nowhere near the sea, but free bus to the train into Rome. Nice site and very good restaurant too.
