3 weeks ago bought a 1 yr old x trail great for first few days decided to go away with van. plugged caravan into car and got a buzzing sound from off side front bulkhead on car, switched off right away but all dashboard warning lights stayed on and did not go out until i pulled out the 12s plug. 2 days later battery dead happened 4 times in 5 days car taken back to dealer who also fitted towbar (by contractor)and after 5 days still no action say that they are waiting for the same 'cowboy'contractor to come and fix the wiring which is draining the battery.

First is this possible

second could there be other damage to the car.

should I just ask for my money back and get another car Desparation is setting in got a 1200 mile trip next week to the south coast for our hols

yes there could be other electrical damage to the car,

it is totally possible for this to happen if damage has been caused in certain part of the electrical system within your car,

i would certainly look into getting a different car or at least getting so money for the time its been off the road.
