Can anyone help

Hi

Was wondering if anyone knew where you can get replacement bed slats for a swift from. The piece thats broken is the part that pulls out from under the drawers and its the very end slat which pulls the whole lot tight, the slat has snapped in the middle and is definately not repairable. Its a swift meidian 530, any help/advice much appreciated.

Thanks

Susan

To be honest I've never looked at the slats in our 4 berth caravan because it has a fixed bed and the front bed is never used but wouldn't it be possible to buy a piece of planed wood of a similar thickness, cut it to size and attach it in place of the broken slat?

If you can't find a replacement you could always use a slat from the other (under cabinet) end, having one missing from there wouldn't be quite so drastic.

Hi Susan
I had a slat break, I unattached it from the ribbon and took the two Brocken pieces to a local builders merchant with a wood shop, they used it as a template and cut a new one, routered the edges and sanded smooth and charged £5
Might be worth a try and probably a lot cheaper than a caravan dealer

Cheers
John
