Good morning all

We always take our bikes when we go to France and as we are in our twilight years aim for flat areas of country.

Last year we found the perfect answer cycling along canals and rivers.

This year we aim to travel the area from Cahors to Carcassonne and was hoping some of you kind folk could recommend sites adjacent or near the Canal du Midi.The sites can be municipal as we do not require all the amenities of a **** site as long as they have good showers.

Sorry, but we've done the Med. end of the Canal du Midi - staying at Grau d'Agde, and cycling into Agde, and then along the canal. We stayed at Camping Neptune (which was nice and quiet at the end of August) and is a Camping Cheque site, so only

This is not a site reccomendation but have you read 'Narrow Dog to Carcassonne' - a narrow boating book by Terry Darlington - which will give you some idea of the scenery you will be cycling through ? See www.narrowdog.com
