For those who are due to go on their hols in the next week or so, is anyone thinking about cancelling their booking due to the bad weather?

hi,

We have just cancelled a 4 day break due to bad weather. Our main concern was the riverside location. We thought is wasn't worth the risk as we have had freak flash floods in our area sand bags still at the doors!!!!!!!! lets hope it picks up soon

Not on your Nellie!!!!!

Off to Longleat on Monday for 10 days....if it rains so be it...i'd rather be away in the caravan in the rain than stuck at home in the rain.

Windmill Inn, Great Cressingham.Apparently the pub is on the left after you leave the a1065, and the site is opposite. My pal who lives in Spalding has just told me that they've had 24hours of continuous heavy rain, so our record might be broken. It will be up to the site owner.

I have had to cancel this weekend as Stuart has to work.

I also have the sore throat from hell, but wouldn't have cancelled if he wasn't working.

Come rain or shine, we go as planned!

The weather is not an issue with us, Lisa. We recently spent 2 soggy weeks away in torrential rain so (one week on a grass pitch!), if we can cope with that, I don't think anything will stop us. We are even considering extending our vanning year.

We have never cancelled but it is a standing joke in our family not to go on their holiday at same time. Some of our experiances have put them off such getting caught in a snow storm and waiting for plough to come and when he did he went so fast that the snow got to deep in places for us to continue , watching the river bank as the water was just coming over the bank and we all had to scarper up a narrow path to escape it.looking back its all the fun of our pastime.
