Two minutes from the ferries to Venice, and I could see the bell tower (campanile) in St. Marks Square from my van window.
 
Visited Caorle a few times when staying at Camping Union Lido, Cavallino in the early and mid 90's. A great little town with bags of atmosphere and some of the best fish restuarants anywhere.
