Does anyone know if a caraloc 640 can be replaced with a caraloc 640 or 700?
If there are different models of the same item I would assume they differ in some way so are not interchangeable. Otherwise there would be just one model.

Thanks for taking time to respond Clive and Mr Plodd. I’ve already replaced like for like a couple of years ago but the design is old and not easy to use. The 400 and 700 are a different shape and I’m not expecting a simple swap. The screw placements are likely to be different and the hole through the door will probably have to be modified. All of which I can do, I just wondered if anyone else has taken such a replacement and re-work job on?
You have duplicate posts so the Mods will probably merge them.
