It looks as if the Caravan Channel have seen sense as John Wickersham has taken over the presenting role He at least knows what he is talking about, unlike the previous presenter

hi all, just seen the last episode as Iam usually working I never get chance to watch it,
right so a producer has to go on a caravan holiday having never been on one before, and has to start from scratch,
so he needs a tow car goes out and buys sorento for £6000 fine, good tow car, will tow about 2 tonnes no problem with that exept after having the bar fitted he goes out and buys a freedom that weighs 500kg wet through.
no mention of weight ratio, noseweight, loading, exept for John telling him to put the canvas in the boot, or any the other things one has to do to partake in our hobby,
now I may be a cynic but I think I know where this is going as the producer and camera man go off on a trip,
I probably wont see any more episodes so someone will have to tell me, but by the end of the trip, I can allready hear the words echoing around, Easy, no problems, any one can do it if I can. towing and reversing no problem.
a freedom towed by a sorrie I should hope not, if these programs are aimed caravanners why not be realistic, give all the facts and go for a 5mtr Orion towed by a ford focus, 1.6 then it might of been a worthwile exersize, instead of a bit of a farce,
as I said this was the first one I had seen and will probably be the last.
