Big Tim, You mentioned that you were able to leave your battery with the Keswick ccc warden for re-charging....
Well consider yourself lucky, when my similar problem surfaced we were on the Caravan Clubs premier site (if fees are anything to go by) at Seacroft Cromer. They had no charging facilities then 2009 I hope the situation there has improved since then. Had to take the battery down to a nearby accessory shop for overnight charging and drive into Sheringham for a cheap battery charger which to this day is always first thing I check we are carrying before leaving.
Glad you got it sorted, am now going for a lie down!!!!!
