DON'T ring the suggested number on the Login page - it's not correct. They show 01342 336612, but this isn't correct. The very kind lady there gave me the correct number 01342 326944 and I spoke to someone at the Caravan Club, who tried to help. She could get in to the website using my details, and suggested that it must be something to do with my browser. However, she did say that they'd had loads of other similar complaints and was going to speak to the IT department responsible to see if there might be 'a fix' available. She did take details of the fact that the telephone number was wrong, and admitted that this needed to be sorted out asap.
In the meantime, anyone available to order me some Christmas present from the Caravan Club, as I still can't get on!
Well, that's solved. I downloaded Firefox, and can now get into the Caravan Club! It might not be IE8, according to some, but using Firefox instead has allowed access.
Well what ever the problem was it now seems solved as I have been able to log in on two seperate occasions today no problem using IE8. Have not changed any settings my end so it must have been a problem with the website. Glad its sorted now.
Weve been using mozilla firefox browser for about 18 months,as I was told it was much safer and less prone to hackers.I dont have a problem logging in to the CC website.
Whats all this DONT, I have got an er in doors just like you, like I said I telephoned the number listed and the lady sorted it out straight away, I was never informed that the number was incorrect and unlike you I got on straight away. Perhaps its those capital letters
No problem logging in but the site is obviously experiencing problems, some sites that are open all year are occasionally shown as closed.
One site showed as closed - greyed out on the calendar - but still allowed me to make a booking, subsequently confirmed on "My Bookings" hope it does not vanish as per an earlier post I made on the subject.
Sorry Trevor, but the lady at Matthew Grey's (or similar sounding - a private company, not even the Caravan Club), although quite pleasant, was obviously a bit fed up of people ringing. She had the Caravan Club number at hand and gave me it without a problem, but the number on the Login page of the website was, and is still, definitely incorrect.
Perhaps you telephoned the number on the home page, rather than the number given on the Login page.
My apologies - the number has now been altered - and I should have typed 01342 326612 which was the number they originally had on the website - and which I've got written down on a scrap of paper I used at the time.
It had obviously been altered in the time between me calling them to inform them that it was wrong - which the lady at the Caravan Club acknowledged - and said she would get corrected straight away, and me coming on here to post the details - when I went back to the CC website to check the number and typed in the one showing at that time on the website (which they'd obviously already changed).
