Hi Angela,

I think it depends on where you park your van. If you park under trees you can get sap dripping of the trees, bird droppings & this time of the year leaf stains. In which case it might pay you to fit a cover, or as some one sugested not so long ago a cover that just fits over the roof.

If like me you do'nt park near trees leave it, the choice is yours.

There is a company that sells polish at markets & caravan shows that say wash your van at the end of the season, dry it then apply their polish all over the van & leave it till spring, then buff it up.

Hi Graham, my van is parked up the side of the house and it's pretty sheltered, should be ok.

There are a lot of opinions on this. However, if you have a mainstream van then it may pay to have a look at similar models of older age on forecourts. If they look tired and faded, then you have a reasonable idea of what your van may look like without protecting it from the ravages of sunlight and rain etc. Whether that should be a cover, or polish or whatever, is up to you.

Depends on how hard up you are.

Me, I think they are great. Come springtime just pull it off and hey prestow, no green roof to clean off. Just a quick wash and polish.
