Caravan-ers living in London

Hey all,

I'm looking to interview a young caravan-er or campervan-er living within their respective vehicle permanently perhaps to cut costs while in the capital. I know this is a very niche request but if there's anyone willing to answer a couple of questions privately it would be much appreciated. To give a bit of context, I work for a media agency and we are looking into young Londoners living in unconventional ways to avoid paying the ludicrous prices in London!

Many thanks,
Nick

I'm living in my caravan in Devon, where we also have ludicrous house prices, and don't mind answering a few questions if that's any help.

Hey,

Really appreciate your response, but I'm afraid I'm looking for London examples specifically. Thanks a lot though!!

You may be hard pushed to find someone living in a touring caravan inside London because touring sites which offer 'seasonal' or semi-permanent can be scarce in the London area.
If you're lucky you might stumble across somebody who did as I once did and lived in an old 2 berth tourer in a mates back garden due to divorce. My suburban caravan life was in the West Midlands though, and I enjoyed every minute of it, especially the mates rates rent ;)

I have a friend whose home address is in Peckham, South London. A couple of years ago he bought a large, but elderly Hymer motor caravan. If he takes it home he gets hit with a hefty daily congestion charge, so he has it on a pitch beyond the M25. However he liked the van life in the country so much that he moved in fulltime and rented out his flat. Now he goes off touring when he feels like it and come November, he rolls up in southern Spain where I meet up with him.
