caravan fridge not working on 240 v

Hi allits that time of year again i have just tried my caravan fridge and it is not working on 240 v but is working on gas any help please regards baz it is a dometic 3 way

Have you checked fuses etc? If so then the 230 volt heater has gone. Someone on here might know how to replace it.

Thanks waffler for your help i prosume that the fuse is ok because the fridge lights up when i open it but stand to be corrected if that is not so thanks bazzz

it could be fuse as the light is most probably 12 volt.

thanks everybody i removed the fridge and tested the heater element and it was open cirquite so i have ordered one off ebay £28-00 so all should be ok in a few days regards bazzzzzz

As you have removed the fridge, this means you have broken a gas connection, for your safety you must have the reinstallation cheked by a competent fitter.
