Has anyone else suffered from the new types of fridges that look very nice but don't work ? I am getting increasingly frustrated with the had it on test and it works as it should after having to hire one then buy one from Currys on another trip. Im sure I wouldnt be permitted to name the make but it would be interesting to hear from others with the same problem and if they have managed to resolve the problem or changed to another make now I been informed that there is a bit burnt out and it is no longer covered. PS I think it is 70 litres with a blue light

on my 2007 van we had the first fridge replaced under warrenty but it took a lot of testing etc by our workshop before a replacement was authorised, the new one then had to have more work done. The fridge in the new van is working okay so far but only had it 3 weeks so not a thorough test!

If you are not prepared to name the make and model, i see little point in making the post?

As i understand it you must not slag off the manufacture, which does not mean that you can't make comments on the fridges performance and reliability?

Ray.

You are not saying iffridge works onalternative power supplies or did I miss another post.

I have just bought a brand new van with a thetford fidge and hey my didnt work from the car battery while towing.

After pulling the tow vehicle to bits I found the problem......13 pin plug only had 11 wires connected now I know where the problem is thanks to BMW I can now wire up the plugs and run on battery travelling.

Any indication here ?

I hope so

Sir Roger

Ray, We have a new van with a Thetford N112 fridge (blue LED on front). It's been back to the dealer numerous times as the fridge kept switching off at night and would not re-light. The dealer put a call in to Thetford who have advised that the gap between the ignitor might have been too great - dealer adjusted and now (apparently) all is fine and it's been running for last 3 days (and nights) with no problem. Time will tell and we're away this weekend on gas so fingers crossed.
