Caravan full cover

I’m starting a lot of threads here so apologies.

We’re changing to an 8ft van so has anyone managed to use their existing full van cover on an 8ft model?

I’m guessing it’s probably not a great fit

Depends on the cover; I have a tailored Pro-Tec cover, so will only fit my Major 4 SB body style. A small amount of googling only seems to give the length of the caravan in generic cover size ranges.

For example: Maypole's "MP9536 6.8 – 7.4m (23-25′) Premium Green 4-Ply Caravan Cover" only says that :

• Fits caravans 6.8-7.4m (23-25′)

It does give the dimension of the cover as 231cm wide, which is just over 7.5feet - so you may need to go bespoke to fit your 8' wide van.

I think if we upgrade i think this cover might be ok there is a bit of room but we did not want it to tight

If you are talking about a front towing cover it will definitely not fit. We went from a Lunar 7' 6" to 8' wide caravan. Those 6" make all the difference. We bought a Protec but found it was nto suitable so opted for an Elite from Specialised Covers. It has a foam backing giving even more protection plus we can access the gas locker without removing the from cover. One person can managed the Elite quite easily.
