Caravan Insurance whilst van is in storage?

We have to find new storage facilities for our caravan.

The van is insured through the Caravan Club but I am away from home so cannot read the content of the policy.

We have been offered a place to park the van in a farmer's yard. This part of the farm is unmanned, the gate to the yard is unlocked, leads straight off the road and is in a small village. The van would be out of sight of the road. It is possible that there would be one other van next to us.

Can anyone who is insured via the CC (standard cover) have a look at their policy and see if the caravan would be covered. It would have a wheel clamp and hitch lock.

Further comments would also be welcome.

Regards - Linda

My caravan insurance company (C&CC) require me to give address details of where my van is stored. I would have thought yours would be the same.

Thanks for responding Inner Zone. We have decided to go to alternative storage where the owner is CaSSOA. Lot more expensive, but we will feel more secure.
