Caravan road lights

Can anyone help me
Plugged my caravan electrics to my car via pin plug connecter my car lights are switched off but my road lights on the van are staying on I haven't got a clue why this is happening and my brake lights are not working.was planning to take her out this weekend but not now. 🙁
 
Is the caravan new to you and this is the first time connected? If not new to you then you may have got water into one of the connection blocks or 7/13 pin connectors and the permanent 12v is shorting to the road light circuits. Unlikely to be water in the rear light cluster as permanent 12v doesn't go near there.

PS perhaps a Moddy may move this thread to the technical section.
