Caravan Safe

I have used a safe in my caravan for a while now Marc, but I believe it needs to bolted through the floor to the chassis or a metal plate. Since the floor is only 6mm ply and polystyrene it wouldn't offer much resistance to a thief.

Only 6mm thick, must be thicker then that. But I am going to put a plate on the underneath anyway.

Marc can you name the make of you van if the floor is only 6 mm thick, that must be some kind of record !! For the record ours is about 50 mm

Yes the floor is generally about 50mm thick, but 38mm of that is polystyrene, with 6mm ply either side, which is what I alluded to but didn't actually say.
